The program

This course is designed to be an easy way for athletes at all stages to explore focus and high performance, and create the conditions to find more flow by developing these fundamental game-time skills:

  • Strengthen distress tolerance and emotional resilience by developing clarity and focus, and learning to stretch out of the comfort zone

  • Learn specific exercises to deal with intense feelings and distracting thoughts

  • Develop the ability to perform by responding rather than reacting when dealing with internal and external challenges

  • Better optimize visualization techniques by becoming more capable to experientially visualize

  • Create specific supportive physical, mental and emotional self-care routines

  • Improve recovery time with more capacity to decrease stress and relax

  • How to offer support to, and how to receive support from teammates–the team begins with you

What’s holding you back?

Athletes have heard how mindfulness skills can set them apart by being better prepared for the unexpected and maximizing on reward states. But they may not know where to begin; or believe they don’t have enough time to learn these valuable skills; or believe that by adding something new, they may jeopardize what is already working for them.

Better understanding that the body and mind are one allows athletes to perform at their best. And the beautiful part is that they can practice these mindful attention reps while they are in motion training for their sport.

Enhance life, on and off the playing field

Athletes already have the advantage in getting to know their full-being experience because they have an understanding of their bodies through movement. The Wise Inside Program provides athletes with practical exercises to better bridge the divide between mind and body, while also supporting athletes in setting incremental mental performance goals as they work towards mastery in their sport.

The real key to high performance and tapping into flow is the ability to direct and channel these strengths and skills fully in the present moment–and that starts in your mind.
